Piano Concerto Festival

Purpose - To encourage students to learn and perform piano concertos

Details -  Students can play one or more movements. Music must be performed from memory. Students must give judges a published score of the concerto before performing.  The accompaniment is performed by the teacher or by a hired accompanist.

There are two judges and an audience of other students who will also perform and their families.  The flow is constant so there is not a set audience during performance times.  All participants receive written comments and certificates. Winners receive ribbons.

There is a Concerto Competition where money is awarded.  Please let me know if you're interested.

This event is run by Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association.
